Automatic Generation of SharePoint Visual Studio Solutions

There are times when we all wish as SharePoint developers that there would be an easier way to develop for SharePoint. Building a custom solution package, accounting for deployment scenarios for your end users, etc. can drain the life out of any developer. As of today, one time sink in my day to day routine has just been eliminated. The SharePoint MVPs have gotten together and produced a wonderful tool for aiding in the initial setup and development for SharePoint.
Introducing… STSDEV. While it might not sound (or look) pretty, this tool will be able to save you hours of frustration when beginning to develop your custom projects. Forget about the C# Project Template. Use this tool! It might be a little rough around the edges, but even in it’s current state it is usable to the point where it trumps any other solution that I’ve seen so far.
