Installing and Configuring the PDF IFilter for SharePoint

One of the final steps in configuring a MOSS 2007 installation is to ensure that PDF content (and any other non MS Office content) can be crawled and presented to the end-user in the proper manner.  For instructions on how to configure a MOSS installation with the Adobe PDF IFilter, refer to KB 832809.

Note: I have provided a link to version 6.0 of the IFilter above.  The KB referenced provides a link to the older version of the IFilter (v5.0).  To obtain a PDF icon, a quick search should help.
