WordPress for iPhone released

by liquidpooled on Jul.22, 2008, under Apple, WordPress, iPhone

WordPress has released a client for the iPhone.  Unfortunately for me, it doesn’t work.  Whenever I attempt to add my blog to the client, it immediately proceeds to crash, returning me to my home screen.  After repeated restarts of my phone and the application itself, I give up.  It would appear that while this application works for everyone else, I’m out of luck when it comes to publishing posts on my blog from my iPhone.

What’s a google?

by liquidpooled on Dec.06, 2007, under Apple, Google, iPhone

On the iPhone front, Google has released/developed (via iPhone Atlas) an iPhone friendly version of their mobile site. Combining a slew of their services into an easy to manage interface, this is one for the masses.

As for those services, Google also made a nice new interface for Google Reader on the iPhone. This is what I have been waiting for! Finally, I can migrate away from the .mac reader that is built into Mobile Safari. While .mac reader can be functional, the ability to have Google Reader deliver just the up-to-date posts that I haven’t yet read can be a true time saver. No longer do I have to navigate through 40+ individual bookmarks to get my daily news fix.

iPhone SDK on the way?

by liquidpooled on Nov.26, 2007, under Apple, News, iPhone

It would appear the iPhone SDK may be making its way out to developers in beta form. This is great news, as the number of applications available for the iPhone should grow exponentially after the release.

Another month down…

by liquidpooled on Oct.26, 2007, under News, Site News, iPhone

Another month gone by since my last post, and I still haven’t managed to write on this blog more than once in a blue moon.  My iPhone still rocks, and my web host is still up.  I won $80 in an Outwit the Smack over at jellyfish (who were incidentally recently acquired by Microsoft).

On a completely different topic, Leopard (Mac OSX 10.5) came out today, and I must say after a trip to the local Apple store, buying a Mac is becoming more and more appealing.  With the recent annoucement that Apple is finally releasing a SDK for the iPhone, I might have to bite the bullet to get all the functionality I can see out of this thing (there better be Notes syncing coming at some point Steve!).
