Updated Look

The old Talian theme was beginning to get to me.  Posts did not seem prominent enough, and to be honest, I never truly enjoyed the “brightness” of the theme.  At this time, I’ve opted to go with the latest version of the Pixeled theme.

The new theme will allow for easier browsing of categories and an overall improved navigation.  The new theme should also encourage me to clean up some of my post categories and rely more on the built-in tagging in WordPress.

Planned Blog Maintenance

A short outage may occur on Friday, November 21, 2009 between the hours of 9 and 10PM EST as my hoster does some maintenance on the server I’m on.

The ship is going down… (again)

Looks like my hoster has decided its time for another cage move.  I suppose its a good thing they’re growing.

Heres the low down:

WHEN: Friday, August 29th 2008 | Start time: 11:30 PM EST – 3:30AM EST

WHY: All services will be affected at this time. We will be upgrading our physical presence by moving cages to allow for future expansion. This move will help us further to organize and improve our service to you as a customer.

On WordPress and staying up to date

Within the past day I’ve found that two blogs that I manage were hacked using known vulnerabilities in earlier versions of WordPress. Since many others have gone into detailed explanations, such as this, I won’t touch on that here.

What I will say is that is worthwhile to remain diligent when it comes to security upgrades/platform updates for blogging software. No one wants to help the spammers.
