It might have taken a long time, but I finally got around to fixing a long standing error in my WordPress theme that was causing errors with the XML-RPC service (an invalid URL was being generated). There were also some issues related to the WP Super Cache plugin (an exclusion needed to be added for xmlrpc.php).  </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a title="WordPress" href="http://www.wordpress.org">WordPress</a> has released a <a href="http://iphone.wordpress.org/">client</a> for the <a href="/category/apple/iphone/">iPhone</a>.  Unfortunately for me, it doesn&#8217;t work.  Whenever I attempt to add my blog to the client, it immediately proceeds to crash, returning me to my home screen.  After repeated restarts of my phone and the <a href="http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=285073074&amp;mt=8">application</a> itself, I give up.  It would appear that while this application works for everyone else, I&#8217;m out of luck when it comes to publishing posts on my blog from my <a href="/category/apple/iphone/">iPhone</a>.</p>

Since many others have gone into detailed explanations, such as <a href="http://voipsa.org/blog/2008/04/08/this-blog-site-was-hacked-how-it-was-done-and-why-you-need-to-upgrade-wordpress-now/">this</a>, I won&#8217;t touch on that here.</p>
<p>What I will say is that is worthwhile to remain diligent when it comes to security upgrades/platform updates for blogging software.  No one wants to help the spammers.</p>
